Surprise!!!

Wow I have amazing friends!! I just turned 15 and they all threw me a surprise party!! It was a couple days after my birthday so I was not expecting it! So me and Sara usually do something on our birthdays but couldn't on mine. So Sara asked me if I wanted to hang out on Friday since we couldn't do anything on my birthday. So I got there and she takes me to her room and all of our 8th grade yelled SURPRISE!!! It so surprising that I just starting laughing! Then they all yelled Happy Birthday! I have never had a surprise party before and it was so fun!! Sara's amazing mom made pizza for us(thank you Heidi!) and we played Just Dance. We were trying to make a video to put on Facebook but something would happen every time we turned the camera on! Either someone would laugh or we would just mess up! It was hilarious!! We had LOTS of laughs and had a great time!! Apparently Sara called my mom and asked if it was ok and I had no idea!! Anyways thanks again everyone for a great party!

They left me!!!

Sara and her family left to go to D.C. on Wednesday!! They are like my second family! And they left me!!! Now I know how Sara felt when I went on the cruise!!! Go to older posts and you will remember how lonely Sara was when I was gone!! She is leaving a whole entire week and a day!!!!! They are so funny, they all want to by me a souvenir!! ha-ha  I will be busy though! I have been working on a personal progress project. I guess you could say I got a job at the D.I. I'm doing volunteer work so I'm not getting paid. I have gone every day this week and I have to work for ten hours total. I have to go two more days and work for two hours each day. It has been a cool experience! I worked with a girl from Brazil and she had a really strong accent. It was pretty cool. Its the perfect time to do it since we are having harvest break:)

So many things!!!

Oh my goodness! I haven't even posted since school started!! Oh by the way, I love the high school!! Everyone is so fun! They are so enthusiastic! I have had a lot of fun so far! I am sure I will have a lot more fun too.  I love my schedule!! I have an easy class in between all my hard classes. It goes: Speech(hard but fun) choir(easy) algebra(hard) band(easy) and then reading which isn't hard yet, its just annoying. haha So there you have it! hard easy hard easy and annoying! haha Anyways me and Sara where talking about how fast this summer has gone! I had a really fun summer though. I was pretty much always doing something. My brother jade left for his mission at the end of july and we have been able to email him every Monday. That has been really cool for our family.
He is in Linden, Tennessee right now. I know what your thinking...Where the heak is that!!!? It is about 3 hours away from Nashville. He pretty much lives in the woods. haha he lives a little trailer in the middle of nowhere. He hasn't complained at all about anything! he loves it there!! He isn't even homesick at all.....yet:) well I will keep you updated on that! haha seeya!

A Day in the Life...

So, what's life like for a freshman in high school right now? I'll tell you. With school getting back into session, that means...(drum roll) Lessons!!!! Oh yes, lessons. The constant driving of my dear mother (I LOVE YOU!!!!!) back and forth around the beautiful little city of Rexburg. We have probably driven everywhere around Rexburg, that's why I appreciate it so much. The fact that we aren't a huge city, but yet, we continue to grow. It's a blessing. Really. But anyways, I start violin today, J.T. has guitar, and Cambelle has piano. Then, next week, I start ballroom, which I cannot even tell you how excited I am!!! Its going to be so much fun, but we will be busy. High school is a lot of work and I didn't realize that my only free time would be weekends, which I haven't even had because of the play. This week Sugar Salem Education Foundation is presenting Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat, and yours truly is one of 16 adoring girls, and I am going to be completely honest, we are really annoying in this play, but its going to be really fun. Come and support! Adults- $5 and Students $3. so the play and school has taken all my time, and the fact that right now I can be done with all my assignments and posting is a MIRACLE!!! I never expected school to be this strenuous. I haven't been completely pushed over the edge yet, but I know it will happen soon. So now what your thinking probably is that " Uhhh why does a freshman in high school have a computer?" For those not around here right now,(my relatives:), we just got laptops through a grant at Sugar Salem. It's been fun, but quite stressful for our technology department. Half of the school's computers didn't work for the first week, and so they had to figure that out. So now that you know my entire life story thus far:) nothing much else to say... Haha I love you all!! So far, doing pretty good on my promise. We'll keep trying!!! Love ya all!!!!!

1 Year...

Well, after a year of blogging, I have definitely learned a few things. One, I am really not very good at blogging. You know, after you start, it takes a while to realize that you aren't that great, and you need to do better. But, I'll get there. Two, that there are people in this world that are willing to look at two 14 year old girl's blog. I want to thank all of you who take time to just check up, even if it hadn't been updated forever!! And three, that I love to write. I love to get out in the world how my summer went, or how excited I was for school. So I will continue that, forever and ever.

Now, Tehya and I are in high school. Our first day was FULL of assemblies, rules, and you guessed it, TALKING!!!! I heard so much talking, I was beginning to miss Jr. High and the relaxation of it all. High school moves so fast, and if you don't look around, you'll get shoved into a wall. True story. I should know. But I have met so many new people who have become my friends. I am taking one class that I know will stretch me and I will have so many experiences. So I will keep you updated and thanks again for checking in.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!!!

Can you believe that the summer is almost over? I am in total shock, but at the same time, I am incredibly excited. High School is almost beginning, and I can't believe it. I got my braces off today!!!!! My teeth look awesome!!! Thanks to Elison Orthodontics!! After three years of appointments, elastics, headgear(which I never wore), and braces, my teeth are done!!!  

While school is getting closer, I am sad that our summer is almost over. Tehya and I were not able to hang out enough to satisfy us, but it was good. We have had fun together talking about what we are excited for, the new edition to our high school, and who our new friends are going to be.

If you haven't already been to our house this summer, let me give you a tour. We have been redoing our bathrooms since the middle of June, and they are finally done! Our kids bathroom is awesome! And my mom's and dad's is gorgeous!!!

Life is good where I am, and that's all I could ask for. I have a whole year ahead of me. Ballroom, violin, friends, high school, and life in general. I will be better at blogging this school year, and that's a promise:)

My 4th of July!!!

Wow! I really stink at this!!! I haven't posted forever it seems like!!! Anyways, I hope you all had a great Independence Day!!! Sara and I got to be in the parade for ballroom!!! It was SO hot!!! We walked and danced from Smith Park all the way to Porter park!!! I know it doesn't seem like that far, but when you are running, walking, and dancing ( and throwing candy of course) it feels like forever long!!!! haha That night my family and I went to rodeo. It was really fun! My brother had gone boating with our cousins the entire day until the rodeo!  He was there from six in the morning until about five  in the evening!!!! He was so tired and I have never seen a sunburn worse than his!!! He can barely walk! I feel so bad for him!!!haha So, I hope you all had fun!! See ya'!;)

My Memorial weekend!!!

I hope everyone has had a fun Memorial weekend! My family and I went camping up at Henry's Lake. It was super fun! We had some other family come up too! Me and some of my cousins were going on a four wheeler ride down a dirt rode away from camp. While we were riding I was in the front of everyone. I look up and I saw an elk run across the path!!! It was only about 20 yards away!!! It was kind of scary but really cool at the same time! I'm sorry I didn't get any pics!!! I am really bad at that!! Anyways, I hope you had a good weekend!!!:)

Old Movies!!!

Ok, the title might have been a turn off for some of you, but I have loved old movies lately. I have a friend who told me about this show called Breakfast at Tiffany's and I thought, "It's probably an old one." And I didn't watch it until about a week ago. And I loved it!!!! I have watched Singin' in the Rain, Sabrina, and i started Funny Face. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know. Please!!!

Wow we are busy!!!

I haven't posted anything for ages it seems like! I'm working on it though!;) So we had piano festival over this weekend. We also had High School choir auditions. You could either make Great Day or Swing Choir. I made Great Day! It was quite the hastle trying to find out. The teacher sends emails to tell if you make it or not. So a friend of ours texts me and she asked me if I made it. So I went to check my email. With all the wind and crappy weather our enternet wasn't working!!! Maybe it was just my luck! So here's this teenage girl like freaking out because the stupid computer isn't working! I told my mom and she (being the genious she is) says just call Mr. Cherrington and ask. So she ended up calling and asking him!!!! During all this I was on the phone with Sara. She kept saying oh I'll check it for you!! I did not want her to find out before me!! Just sayin! haha Love you Sara!! Anyways that was our spring break!!

Yep, track is started today and this year I am determined to get to district and I will this year! Granted it will take every day running like it was freaking cross country ( no quarter Tehya:) But it will totally be worth it... my events are the 400m, the 4x400m relay, maybe a 4x100m, don't quite know yet... but we have a great team at Sugar. Every year we have won the district championship for a long time! It's great and I will keep you posted on how meets go! See ya!!

I got three pair of colored jeans! I'm already ahead of Sara. I got orange, turquoise and purple!!! I love love love them!! My mom was so excited when we ordered them... not as excited as me of course;) Sorry kind of short today! Seeya later!!!!;)

Random subjects

Sara and I are doing ballroom!! We are just starting it. It is so fun!!! I've only had one practice and I love it already! We are beginners so I'm not very good at it but I'm learning. I know Sara has taken a class before so she has had some experience. We are also going to start track soon! We are really excited for that too! I am so out of shape it's not even funny!!! I think dancing will help a little bit. Try-outs for high school choir is soon too! Wow! We are busy!!!!:)

Nobody's Perfect

So today I was reading the news paper ( I now what normal teenager reads the paper, I don't know either.) But I came across an article by one of my best friends, Cami Brown, and she wrote an article about not being perfect. My other friend, Juliette, said"Cami, I am glad you're not the perfect you want to be, because the kind of perfect you are is SO much better." It is true that we all want to be better than we are, but the best we are right now is what is best for us. I love that article and I think it might just become a wall hanging:)

Soooooo Sorry!

So sorry! I am not very good at this! Just a little bit about what is going on right now. Our HS boys basketball team went to districts! Wahoo!! Those games are the best! Oooowwww!!!!

Okay this is is pretty hilarious! So I was at Sara's house the other night . I was running down their hall. I got on the wood kitchen floor and I flat out biffed it! I had socks on so thats how I slipped. I jammed my toe on the wall and landed flat on my hip and hit my head on the wood floor!!!! I tried to laugh as hard as I could so I wouldn't start crying. It hurt so bad. I felt so stupid after so I just started cracking up. My toe still hurts and I have bruise on my hip! It sounds terrible but it was hilarious!!!!!(Life lesson; never run on wood floors!!!)

Wow!!!

Wow I'm SO tired of being sick! Ive been sick for about a month and a half now! It really stinks! Last night Sara and I went to the high school boys basketball game!!! Its was really fun! We had lots of friends there to talk to and cheer with!!! We won all three games. Good job boys!!! I was super tired when I got home last night. I had been standing and cheering for about three hours straight! It was crazy and super fun!

Update on life...

So since I haven't updated in a while, here's a little update. My cousins all came from St. George and I had a ton of fun with them. They came up for my other cousin's open house. But I had stayed up until midnight or later Friday and Saturday. I found out the consequences more harshly than I expected.  I woke up Sunday morning with a super sore throat, coughing like crazy and my head hurt. I thought it had just been from staying up so late. But no, I still have it. And it is THURSDAY!!  Needless to say, I am miserable and sick. I even stayed home today and went to the doctor. Once again go to this post. But I am definitely feeling better. We started school again and I miss the 10:30 sleep in days (My mom probably doesn't:), but I am glad to be back in school. Switcheroo!!

So I switched my room around in a big way this weekend. I've wanted to switch my room around for a while and I finally got to it (thanks to J.T., that bed is NOT as light as it looks, let me tell you) I had to use a birthday picture but this is what it looked like before (minus all the plastic wrap and candy...oh wait :) :

Christmas 2012 (and a happy new year)

So my Christmas went really well! I was super excited to come out to the living room and see all the awesome presents that were waiting for my siblings and I. But first, the dreaded code that Santa puts on our family's presents. This year it was the first letter of our first and middle names in number order (if that made any sense at all :) I got an iPod Nano, leg warmers, Floral pants, a grey sweater,( I think my mom was excited for that because now I don't have to borrow her sweater :), some sweats (YES!!!), my favorite cookies and some other stuff. It was a pretty sweet Christmas. I got J.T. some BB's for his airsoft guns. My dad got me the new Piano Guys CD and I was soooooooo stoked! I am sad that Christmas is over, but I am excited for the new year and a fresh start.
